This week marks the beginning of a year long exploration of the sūtras dedicated to Acalanātha Vidyārāja (不動明王; fudōmyōō) and their commentaries, beginning with the shorter sūtra (shōfudōkyō) and the Section on the Acolytes (hyōhōbon). Using the 「Practice of Mindful Recollection Dedicated to Acalanātha Vidyārāja」 alongside several commentaries, as well as using lineage specific interpretations (including Dai-Ajari's) as an anchor, the study will be guided by the questions of practitioners with the aim of getting feedback on translations and compiling the end result into a usable text.
