As part of this month's activities I was able to distribute union-printed copies of the commentary on the nine verses, corresponding to the theme of this year's mountain-entry Dharma talk. What does it mean to take hold of the shakujō? What is the significance of its sound？With the completion of this commentary, I hope practitioners discover a deeper personal significance to this Dharma-implement.
